Photographers whose work confronts, interprets and reflects on their surroundings are encouraged to send their work to the foto8 contest, organised by a London-based website dedicated to photojournalism.
International photographers whose work confronts, interprets and reflects on their surroundings and which offers a true perspective on the present world have the opportunity to have their work displayed in London's prestigious HOST Gallery through the first Foto8 Awards competition.
Photographers must submit personal or political work from the past 18 months to be judged. Images which challenge and engage the viewer, convey stories and raise questions rather than answers are the most likely to be selected for the exhibition.
The competition is open to all photographers: professional, non-professional and students.
The deadline for submissions is 24 May.
